So what is SantaCon?

December 19th is the night the Santa's come to town and you can be Santa too. We meet at the fountain in Balboa park at high noon and partake in some Kringle Kaos some Holiday Hedonism. Basically it is getting together and having fun, remember when you used to do that?

Why Santa? Because he is vastly misunderstood. It comes down to the classic saying "Give a little, get a little." and this year milk and cookies is not enough. Santa wants to get drunk, Santa wants to sing carols, and Santa is coming to town.

For late Santa's we may rally at Nunu's in Banker's hill at 3pm (tenative) and then Santa's Sweatshop (The Ruby Room) at 6pm.

There will be a Santa Hotline and a Santa Social Network soon (Myspace, Facebook, and Twitter) to keep all Santa's up to date.

***********      SANTA FAQ    ************
1. SantaCon is not a rally, protest, or anything of the sort. It is a simple gathering of Santa's for only the cause of Santa.

2. We do not condone or encourage any kind of vandalism or violence at a Santacon event. Our santas do not destroy property, steal merchandise or do harm to others. The Police Deparment does not like naughty Santas.

3. Again, antarchy is not a movement, that's what you do in the bathroom. In addition to that, the annual Santacon events are not a protest against Christmas or commercialization. Really, it's just a bunch of santas getting together to have a good time.
